Wearing my mouth on my sleeve

Last night’s ESPN 30 for 30, Broke, was a fascinating — and depressing — look at how so many professional athletes end up broke so quickly. This should be mandatory watching for all college athletes hoping to go pro - the numbers are staggering.

By the time they have been retired for two years, 78 percent of former NFL players have gone bankrupt or are under financial stress; within five years of retirement, an estimated 60 percent of former NBA players are broke. (Sports Illustrated)

It was also interesting to watch the reactions of the various athletes I follow on Twitter as they watched. I highly recommend it!
